Quotas on preferential terms
Posted on Wednesday, September 4, 2002

While allocating quotas for the catch of marine biological resources, special attention should be given to town-forming enterprises that have every right for privileged low-cost quotas.

Nazdratenko underlined that such enterprises have to incur a lot of extra costs apart from those related to fish catching itself, and whole cities often rely on these companies economically. With such a heavy spending incurred, the companies are practically unable to pay for the quotas at the auctions. In such circumstances it makes reason to allocate special cheap quotas to these enterprises for many years ahead.
