Russia and Norway have signed an agreement regarding fishery near Svalbard

It is expected that this agreement will end the conflict between military sea forces of both countries.

“Norway has dropped their unreasonable accusations against Russian fishermen and considerably expend the fishery zone allocated to them”,- as declared in the official statement of Russian authorities.

Based on conditions established in preliminary agreement, the control of fishery in this zone will be made by one Russian ship of military sea fleet.

Russian trawlers can be ordered to stop fishery because of breaches of regulations only form this ship.
