Fish auction in Moscow “collapse”

On the auction industrial quotas to catch herring, cod, flounder, halibut, pacific saury, grenadier and tuna were offered. All Russian companies and juridical persons who applied for the auction and are owners of fishing vessels were allowed to participate.

The start value of industrial quotas which were offered on the auction amounted to about USD 18 mill. Particularly the start-price for catching of 500 mt of herring was 650.000 RUB (ab. USD 21.000), 100 mt of cod – 590.000 RUB (ab. USD 19.000), 100 of flounder – 220.000 RUB (ab. USD 7.000), 100 t of halibut – 900.000 RUB (ab. 29.000), 100 t of grenadier – 100 RUB (ab. USD 3.200), and 100 of tuna – 150.000 RUB (ab USD 4.800).

However only a third part of all lots were sold. It was North-Eastern industrial regions which had largest troubles during the auction.

It was totally sold 350 lots out of 1050 that were initially offered for a total amount of 188.38 mills of RUB (ab. USD 6 mill).
