EU approaching Murmansk closer

On October 30th, the European Commission expert Richard Banks arrived in Murmansk, where he visited a number of enterprises including the Murmansk Fish Processing Plant, Nord-West and Vostok-Service.

 

Chairman of the regional fisheries committee Anatoly Yevenko commented on the event as being of much importance for the region. He said the aim of Mr. Banks’ visit was to study the state of fisheries in the Russian coastal regions prior to the upcoming EU - Russia talks.

The next destination of the commissioner upon visiting Murmansk was Kaliningrad.
