Higher rates at the Murmansk fishing port
Posted on Tuesday, October 22, 2002

On October 15th, the Russian Federal Energy Commission approved new rates for cargoes handling and related services at the Murmansk fishing port.

This time, tariffs for fish cargoes have risen by 25 percent. The rise is explained by substantial losses the port incurred over the last few years, depreciation of the port’s capital assets involving heavier expenses for repair works, as well as by the need to raise salaries of the port staff.
