Who will be the next to supervise fishery in Murmansk region?
Posted on Tuesday, October 15, 2002

According to a decree of the governor of the Murmansk region, as of September 25, 2002, deputy governor Vyacheslav Silin is no longer in charge of the fishery sector of the Murmansk region.

His functions have reportedly been transferred to the first deputy governor Alexander Selin.

It is assumed that dismissal of the former fishery supervisor was caused by attempts of the State Fisheries Committee to get a more convenient person for this position. It looks plausible especially with the new status obtained by Murmansk region’s fishery committee, which has become a separate body after its reorganization.
