Russian and Norwegian coastal guards work together

Murmansk state maritime inspection belonging to Russia’s Federal Frontier Service has presented some results of its performance over the last month.

 

According to the information given, in August 2002, the maritime inspectors performed surveys of 167 Russian fishing vessels, with 55 of those at sea, and the rest being harbour-based. Representatives of the Norwegian coast guard service participated in the check-ups as well.

Totally 8 violations of different kind committed by Russian shipowners have been discovered.
