Vladimir Putin pays his attention to problems of fishermen
Posted on Friday, August 16, 2002

In the beginning of last week, representatives of The Control-Audit Department (CAD) of Russian Federation came to Murmansk region. Officially the main aim of the visit was to control the activity of the fishery committee of regional administration.

However this operation is more than an ordinary inspection of Murmansk officials. For example, one of Moscow controllers has participated at the last assembly of PINRO research institute.

It seems as Moscow guests are seriously going to investigate the efficiency of fish industry of Murmansk region and the country as a whole, from economical security point of view. It's being confirmed by the fact that representatives of CAD are ready to listen to concrete proposals form Murmansk fish-industrialists. Such an attention to the needs of the fish sector can be explained by lately strengthened interest to the problem from the president of the country.

Representatives of CAD will stay in Murmansk for approximately two weeks, and local fish-industrialists still have some time to share their propositions.
