No fishery regulations breaches
Posted on Friday, August 2, 2002

In spring of 2002, The State Fishery Committee of Russian Federation has issued a resolution declaring that all the catches made in Russian Economical Zone have to be delivered to Russia.

In accordance to the information from Murmanrybvod (Fishery Control Organization), many significant breaches of this resolution have been discovered during “Putina” operation concerning catch of capelin in the Northern basin. But at this time most shipowners have utilized their industrial quotas.

Currently almost all fishing vessels are utilizing their auction quotas. The sale of catch based on auction quotas isn’t restricted by the resolution of The State Fishery Committee. Therefore ship-owners are allowed to sale this catch overseas.
